Updates! And random chillaxing #79

Another dry spell on here, I’ve been preoccupied with much greater things in life but still alive on the Internet!

Anime has taken the back burner as of late but I have been finishing up a few series that had a one or two episodes left but mainly gaming and music are at the forefront these days!

So updates! Going on strong through Forza Motorsport 4 in career mode and I’ve amassed a huge garage collection, on Level 53 at the moment while going through the World Tour.

And it doesn’t feel as repetitive or being put off going through the events like in Forza Motorsport 3, things get jumbled up a bit (with a Top Gear event thrown in randomly) and it’s s’all good. I tip my hat to you Turn 10 for keeping my attention fresh

Do love the Rivals feature, no doubt ripped from EA’s NFS series with their Autoblog feature. It’s a welcome addition and make you even more competitive online without the use of driving aids and the like.

Tinkering around in Autovista and taking shots in the new Homespace feature makes you appreciate and drool over automotive engineering all over again and in-race shots have improved (well, to my eyes at least ).

Now saving up to get my F40 Competizione, gotta be done despite costing a load of credits and AAHHHHHHH …. I’m remembering the sound of those sweet, sweet dump valves I shall own it soon enough as the regular F40 doesn’t quite cut it (even with a Le Mans paint job); still love it tho

And looking forward to Decembers’ DLC courtesy of IGN. Do want the RS1800 as I’ve always had a thing for it’s boxy, stubby look ever since I laid my eyes on it yeaaaaaars ago and the Scirocco S because it looked mean, sleek and way ahead of it’s time!

I also got Ubisoft’s ANNO 2070 a few days back on the PC and gotta say, it’s been a long time since I found such an engaging RTS game based on the few hours I’ve played so far. The last one I played was StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty IIRC.

The intricate level of visual detail displayed throughout the game is friggin’ amazing, leaving you in absolute awe (for example, when I zoomed in …. OH MY GOD I CAN SEE SEAWEED SWAYING AND WHALES SWIMMING IN THE WATER! ) and the cinematic soundtrack is pretty decent too.

The game engine also scales damn well on my GTX 260; I’m very surprised about that since I pretty much use the Xbox 360 for all my gaming needs now and haven’t played a game on the PC for …. Well, I honestly can’t remember

And so for the short-term future, I’ll be wasting much of my free time on this (and Forza Motorsport 4) going through building futuristic locations/settlements to my quirky OCD standards and researching technology in-game intently to gain a sense of proud enlightenment within for the happies

Now onto musik!

While looking around for new stuff, I found this new electropop band yesterday named galaxias! and they be sounding bloody good to my ears with their new, self-titled debut album as it be a epic collaboration by multiple artists that I’ve heard music from in the past; DECO*27, Kou Shibasaki and Teddyloid.

I <3 Shibasaki’s synthesized/vocaloid-esque vocals courtesy of the other two composing and mixing. “Boys & Girls”, “CONNECTION”, “future”, “Iny” and “J.A.N.” are my ultimate favorites on the album but all the tracks are pretty great with healthy dollops of dance/electronica/pop and techno sprinkled throughout = immense replay value

And finally, what I’ve been chillaxing to!

“Polaris no Namida” by Onsoku Line

I’ve been looping this track lately from Onsoku Line. The PV itself is quite depressing/emotional (FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU, embedding is disabled but you know what to do) but I’m enjoying listening to the backing instrumentals, rhythm and the sentimental lyrics.

A sentence from said lyrics goes out to a very special lady in my life ….
